Inner Fire Yogi since April 2013
Yoga found me the way it finds most, through stress, and a need to get out of my head and back into my body. It took years, many teachers, and plenty of travels to reach that perspective. I'm still learning.
I was fortunate early on to train under Baron Baptiste, with immersions in Hawaii and Kenya that deepened my practice in ways I'm still unpacking. I taught for a stretch at a hot yoga studio, and somewhere in that season of life I met my wife. Yoga has given me more than I ever expected.
What drew me to Inner Fire Yoga was the heat. The moment I walk through those doors and roll out my mat, it feels like home. I keep coming back to the Flow classes for their grounding presence, the back bending, the breath focus, and honestly, for my neck, which has given me trouble for years. This practice keeps me moving and I plan to keep showing up as long as I'm able.

The teachers here are something special. Coming from the background I do, that's not something I say lightly, it's just true. When I heard about the recent Mexico retreat I felt that FOMO immediately. An Inner Fire Yoga retreat is on my list!
Most of all though, it's the people that keep me coming back. Friends made in class, kind faces in the lobby, a community that shows up and sweats through life together. There's something really beautiful about that. Each of us getting a little stronger, every day, for everyone's benefit.
That's why I keep coming back to Inner Fire Yoga.
