Inner Fire Yogi since January 2019

My family and I moved back to Wisconsin in 2018 and I quickly found my way to the newly opened Inner Fire Yoga East location. I took my first yoga class in 1999 and was smitten from the get-go.

For many years I "used" yoga to escape from the doldrums, release stress, and avoid grief or conflict. Yoga was a band-aid, a mask, a hideout. Along the way, as I grew and evolved, so did my practice.

My time on the mat is now about what I hear during the conversation of feeling, movement, awareness, and breath. What I learn about myself, my resiliency, resourcefulness, and strength. It's a conversation I wish everyone could have. I practice 3-4 times a week at the East location and gravitate towards the sequenced classes, Original Hot Yoga and Inner Fire Flow – my brain quiets enough to listen in these classes.

I need much longer than two paragraphs to praise all the teachers I adore at Inner Fire Yoga, honestly the best group of teachers ever!!! Big shout out to Jennifer's Friday happy hour class and her stellar playlists! I'd take any class, any day with Katherine, Dr. Ruddy, Jane, or Anne.
