Inner Fire Yogi since July 2011
I remember the day very well. July 4, 2011 – Hot Yoga 90! I did not believe I could do it, but I came anyway. And many years later, I have no regrets.
I was going through some health challenges, and my children were leaving home to go to college and pursue careers. I wasn't in a good place emotionally or physically.
On that July 4 holiday, my daughter, who was home after her freshman year at UW-Madison, urged me to go to yoga with her. I resisted most of the time she was home, but on that day, she insisted. I decided to go with her; after all, I was going to spend some quality time with her and her younger sister in the car. That alone made me feel more alert, and off we went to yoga.
Dr. Ruddy was the teacher, and the passion and enthusiasm he brought to that 105-degree class caught my attention. My daughters checked on me constantly. The rest is history.
Every city I visit, we look for a yoga studio right away; even when we're overseas, we seek out a yoga studio. Inner Fire Yoga remains our favorite. Yoga brings calmness to me and my daughters, and the community, and the health benefits have kept us coming back.
Thank you, Inner Fire Yoga.
