Inner Fire Yogi since May 2021
I have been practicing yoga since my teenage years and started attending Inner Fire Yoga when they reopened for in-person classes post-pandemic. The studio’s heat really challenges my body, helping me develop quiet strength and increased flexibility.
A typical week for me includes about five classes, mostly power flow and slow flow. I especially appreciate the slow flow sessions because they allow me to slow down, focus, and isolate specific postures and muscle groups that promote my growth. Over the past few years, I’ve been working on arm balances and inversions, gaining the confidence to try new poses with the supportive guidance of our yoga community.
Yoga at Inner Fire has become an essential part of my strength training and recovery routine. I love an energizing soundtrack that helps me sync with the flow of the practice.
Working in public health can be stressful and emotionally draining, but a consistent yoga practice keeps me balanced and healthy. I always feel at ease and excited to practice when I arrive at the studio, warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff and teachers.
Even on days when I’m tired or busy, I never regret sweating through a yoga class. If you’re looking for me, I’m usually in the hottest corner of the room!
