I’ve been a student of yoga for more than half my life, but let’s not get into numbers. This practice has taught me so much about myself and has given me the perspective to find grace in the midst of chaos, the mundane, and everything in between.

I took the leap into teaching after experiencing the loss of a loved one and moving from Madison to Milwaukee. I found peace on my mat. I earned my certification in early 2016 through Core Essence Yoga in downtown Milwaukee, with a focus on Vinyasa Flow. Since then, I’ve taught at multiple studios and fitness centers throughout the North Shore, continued my education, and even dabbled in teaching Barre. I’m thrilled to get back to teaching where it all began.

One of the things that brings me the most joy is knowing we all arrive on our mats with different intentions, coming together in unity to work towards them. My goal for every class is for you to leave feeling a little better than when you arrived. I love incorporating playful flows with fun music, offering opportunities to find your edge and create space for whatever your practice needs in that moment, a balance between control and surrender. Setting perfection aside and allowing your body to move in a way that feels right.

I am a mother of four children with one really good dog and one “fixer upper.” When I’m not on the mat, I spend my days assisting in special education at my daughter’s elementary school. As a self-diagnosed busybody, I’m often found walking outdoors for hours on end or spending time on the water floating around. Prior to moving back to the area, my husband and I spent a decade planning, owning and operating a restaurant in Cedarburg called Brandywine. It was a dream come true and one we are all so proud of.

My goal for every class is for you to leave feeling a little better than when you arrived.

I’d like to leave you with one of my favorite quotes by Danna Faulds:

“It only takes a reminder to breathe, a moment to be still, and just like that, something in me settles, softens, makes space for imperfection. The harsh voice of judgment drops to a whisper and I remember again that life isn’t a relay race; that we will all cross the finish line; that waking up to life is what we were born for. As many times as I forget, catch myself charging forward without even knowing where I’m going, that many times I can make the choice to stop, to breathe, and be, and walk slowly into the mystery.”

Looking forward to seeing you on the mat soon!
