I discovered Inner Fire Yoga in 2007. I liked the feeling of satisfaction that came with embodied discipline, and how deeply rejuvenated I felt after sweating and moving in such a unique way. The practice helped me gain strength and flexibility, and was a trusted companion as I became an 'adult-onset athlete' in running and triathlon.
Class after class, year after year, each time I step onto the mat it feels like coming home. I've come to Inner Fire Yoga on great days and on terrible ones, and have felt supported time and again. I often find that during practice, I feel great joy in being alive and present.
My longtime yoga practice has gone hand-in-hand with a personal meditation practice; I am also a qualified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
"It became evident to me that yoga was really a treasure that I had discovered, and I felt compelled to share it."
When conditions were right for me to enroll in 200-hour teacher training at Inner Fire Yoga, I was so happy to learn new skills and meet new friends. And something else happened: it became evident to me that yoga was really a treasure that I had discovered, and I felt compelled to share it.
It is my intention to offer classes that invite you to arrive just as you are — as fully as you are able — and practice in a way that invites a wholesome discipline and great care for yourself (and for others). May our yoga practice reduce suffering and increase happiness!
