I began my yoga journey in San Francisco in the early 90s. Back then, yoga studios were filled with packed rooms full of sweaty bodies in a 90-minute Bikram Studio that challenged mind and body. I was hooked from the very beginning and it has remained a constant in my life ever since.

I moved to Madison in 2003 and soon found Bikram Yoga Madison, the original Inner Fire Yoga studio. It was the beginning of a beautiful relationship.

At first, yoga was simply an addition to my workout regimen. Even today, I believe the combination of yoga, movement and strength training creates the perfect balance. About 10 years ago, I noticed my yoga practice becoming something much deeper. Yoga started changing not just my body, but my whole life.

Every time I walk through the doors of either Inner Fire Yoga studio, I have the opportunity to practice being the best version of myself. Between the dedicated teachers, loving community, healing asanas, and fun playlists, there is endless growth. Inner Fire Yoga has become a space where I can connect spiritually, emotionally, physically and sometimes in other ways that don't even need a label.

Teaching yoga had long been a bucket list item of mine. In 2025, my career took an unexpected and much-needed pivot. With that came the opportunity to complete my 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Inner Fire Yoga.

"No matter whether you've been practicing for 30 years or 30 days, there is nothing better than giving yourself time to dedicate to your overall well-being."

I now teach Inner Fire Flow, Power and Slow Flow classes at Inner Fire Yoga. My goal is to create a safe environment for all, and for each person to feel whatever you need to feel on any given day, each time you come to your mat. No matter whether you've been practicing for 30 years or 30 days, there is nothing better than giving yourself time to dedicate to your overall well-being.

I am deeply grateful to all the teachers at Inner Fire Yoga, who continue to make me want to come back to practice day after day. I am humbled with the opportunity to give back to our community.
