Inner Fire Yogi since May 2023

I never thought I would try hot yoga because if you know me, heat, humidity and sweating are some of my least favorite things. But when I first tried it last summer, I was surprised at how much I looked forward to that first deep breath in a heated room. I find that the heat and sweating actually serves to ground me more firmly in the present, and helps shut out both internal and external distractions.

Last year, I was the recipient of a 3-month yoga scholarship at Inner Fire Yoga. This scholarship made it so much easier for me to practice, both financially and therefore mentally. I highly recommend it to anyone who feels the cost of yoga is the main barrier to their practice. If you don't need the scholarship but know someone who might, please spread the word, because this is truly a generous and "no strings attached" offering.

My favorite classes are slow flows and power flows, and I am thankful for all my teachers who are knowledgeable and friendly on top of the fact that they lead creative yet challenging classes. Inner Fire Yoga has strengthened me from the inside out, and I continue to feel mentally and physically stronger after each class.

If you see me around the studio, feel free to say hi :)
