Mathias Lemos Castillo

Inner Fire Yogi since February 2023

The work I do on a day-to-day basis involves managing the energy and state of mind of people from various backgrounds and walks of life. As a facilitator, one of my roles is to lead and guide individuals in spaces centered around racial and social justice. This work can be demanding and mentally challenging, as well as time consuming. Because of this, I struggled to find an activity to help decompress mentally and spiritually.

Around a year ago, my partner introduced me to Hot Yoga, and I instantly knew it was something I would deeply enjoy. As a facilitator, I highly value the opportunity to learn from a diverse range of teachers, and this practice has allowed me to be on the opposite side and be guided through the different yoga poses. For that, I appreciate all the yoga instructors for their unique teaching styles and guidance of our yogi community. And now, I have a practice that helps me decompress.

In 2024, I aim to continue attending the studio at least 3-times a week. Sending much gratitude towards all the teachers and fellow yogis I have encountered on this transformative journey, and I am always delighted to connect if we happen to practice together. Namaste.
