I first started going to Inner Fire Yoga back in 2009.  I was running a wrestling school at the time and my body was not happy with me. I had quite a few injuries and surgeries while wrestling in college, and yet I was still continuing to wrestle on a daily basis because that was my job. I was looking for some sort of workout to help improve the way my body felt, especially my lower back, so I thought I would give yoga a shot. What I found out at my very first class was that I had just found so much more and I was hooked right away!

The first thing I noticed about Inner Fire Yoga was that I LOVED the heat! I just love that feeling when I first walk in the room and my body immediately feels looser and not as stiff. The heat also adds an extra element that not only challenges my physical body, but also strengthens my mind.

Another thing that kept bringing me back to Inner Fire Yoga was the staff! Every single instructor is so friendly and positive and everyone gives off such great vibes! It literally lifts my mood just walking into the studio no matter what kind of day I’m having. In addition, each instructor is full of little nuggets of wisdom that I learn from every single class.

Another really important thing that kept me coming back to InnInner Fire Yogaerfire was the community of people I met there. I have met so many interesting people and have made many friends in each class. One of the things I look forward to is just talking to my peeps! It really is a community!

Yoga is such a different kind of challenge than what I’m used to compared to wrestling.  It has really taught me how to truly be present and to just focus on my breathing. Yoga makes my body feel so much better and it forces me to work on patience, balance, and strength which are super important the older I get. I can unplug and not have to worry about being distracted by anyone or anything. I can literally be selfish and only focus on myself, my breath, and the poses for a full hour or longer. That is so liberating and therapeutic for an empath like myself.

So, to put it in a nutshell, Inner Fire Yoga has made me a better human being. It has enriched my life in so many ways and keeps me hungry and craving for more!!!!
