Claire Skivington

While completing my first year of law school, I neglected to find time to take care of my mental and physical wellness. This spring, I decided to tackle both through yoga! As a busybody, I thought that I would be bored and under-stimulated by yoga. I now know that yoga is very stimulating, and continues to challenge me every time I practice.

Since beginning my yoga journey, I have experienced incredible benefits. I find myself more grounded in stressful moments because I have learned to be in control of my mind and body. I have been able to practice more patience and forgiveness with myself and others, which has given me a joyful perspective in daily life. Plus, my body feels stronger! I can’t complain about that! 

I am so glad I found the Inner Fire Yoga community to work together towards mental and physical awareness and healing. One thing that keeps me coming back to Inner Fire is the encouragement— the positive texts/emails, and goal setting challenges keep my motivation high! Big thanks to all of the wonderful instructors for keeping the community motivated to practice!
