A friend introduced me to yoga in the summer of 2001 with a Rodney Yee VHS (!) tape. As I was doing my very first set of sun salutations, I really struggled, but after it was over, I felt more relaxed and able to face the stuff of my day. So, I dedicated myself to three months of daily Rodney “namastes”, and I’ve been practicing yoga fairly consistently ever since.

In 2003, I moved from Chicago to Madison. Soon after, I tried my first Hot Yoga class at Inner Fire Yoga (formerly Bikram Yoga Madison). I loved it! For me, the heat and yoga together were perfect. From fall 2007 to summer 2009, I was given the opportunity to be Inner Fire Yoga’s first full-time general manager. It was a privilege to serve this growing community and make many new friends. I saw A LOT of heart-warming evolutions/revolutions.

From 2009 until late summer of 2014, I lived in Oshkosh and continued to do much of the marketing/creative work remotely for Inner Fire Yoga. Some of the things I have done include designing the promotions that go with all of the workshops and special events, including photography, the website, assembling the newsletter and emails, our cool new app, designing medals, displays, revolution sticker charts, posters, magnets, and much more!

In the summer of 2014 I returned to Inner Fire Yoga as the general manager and creative director, and have been able to reclaim a more regular hot yoga practice!
