Inner Fire Yoga TeacherI embarked on my yoga journey back in 2009 while living in Turkey. Yoga quickly became more than just a way to nurture my physical and mental well-being—it also provided me with a sense of community in a new environment. Over time, yoga grew into an essential part of my life, helping me build self-confidence, body positivity, flexibility, strength, inner peace, and resilience, all while forming meaningful friendships.
My desire to become a yoga teacher was driven by many factors, but one of the most significant was my passion for creating inclusive spaces where everyone can practice yoga, regardless of their experience, ability, or resources. I remember feeling nervous when I first tried yoga, thinking I didn’t belong because I didn’t have a particular body type or prior experience. At its heart, yoga is a practice of presence and exploration, open to anyone, in any body.
Yoga is also a deeply personal journey that we are fortunate to explore in community. It offers us space to challenge ourselves in new and profound ways—physically, mentally, and emotionally.
One of my greatest interests as a teacher is supporting students in noticing and releasing the limits of “either/or” thinking. You’ll often hear me say, “There is no right or wrong, no good or bad.” Dichotomous thinking can trap us in patterns of judgment or rigidity. Yoga gives us a chance to seek the middle way, to shift our perspective, and to experience greater freedom—both on and off the mat.
I am an RYT-200. I teach Power Flow, Slow Flow, Inner Fire Flow, and Yin Yoga.
