Rachel Werner

Inner Fire Yoga Teacher

My teaching style has been influenced by time studying and working in the fitness industry for over ten years as an instructor, trainer and model in the United States and abroad. My interest in styles has varied over the years. Hatha, Ashtanga, Bikram, Vinyasa and Yin are all forms I have been drawn to at one time or another. And I still habitually seek out ways to expand my fitness regiment on a personal level, as well as a resource to assist my students heal and discover their own pathway to health—and inside and out. Teaching often involves listening more than talking and helping to guide others to the strength and knowledge that already lies within.

I also believe a “yogic lifestyle” involves an emphasis on a comprehensive, holistic approach to wellness to the extent that such awareness later transcends to all aspects of your life. For me, this manifests as a commitment to being physically active daily to properly integrate mind, body and spirit. So don't be surprised to see me attending classes because I enjoy practicing regularly and being at the studio as a student as much as an instructor. Yes, I am HIGH energy. But that's what BURN is all about—creating space to build intense JOY, then let it all out...while toning the abs, glutes and thighs too.

I do not think it is possible to truly teach others without leading by example. A fundamental principle I can affirm is continually present amongst the Inner Fire Yoga staff and community—having a fierce commitment to cultivating well-being in one’s life on a micro and macro level.
