Megan Cullen

Inner Fire Yoga Teacher

Yoga and the Inner Fire community have provided me with a great deal of stability through many challenging seasons in my life.  Whether we feel broken or giddy with excitement, our mat is always there to remind us that we are our own best teachers.  I teach from a place of promoting strong self-compassion and at the same time utilizing class as a place for self-inquiry, where we can gather knowledge and hone our intuition.

A Bikram-yogi at heart, over years of practice and teaching my style has branched into an athletic, slow-paced vinyasa.  Yoga should feel good, and it should also test our edges; that is what you find in my class.   Along my journey I’ve had many, many amazing teachers including Theresa Murphy, Rolf Gates, Ana Forrest, Rusty Wells, and Steve Emmerman & Talya Ring.  All have provided me with so many gifts that I happily pass along to my students.  When I’m not teaching or taking class, you will likely find me at my job as a licensed psychotherapist (which I love!), hanging with my amazing canine companion, or setting sail on Lake Mendota.
