Mandy Krey

Inner Fire Yoga Teacher

My personal yoga journey began in 2015 at a recommendation from a friend.   I wanted to become more flexible.  I had only done some video yoga in the past, which did not engage me much.

When I went to my first class at Inner Fire Yoga, I felt rejuvenated.  I also realized yoga was very challenging for me.  My competitive nature came out and I kept going to get better.

As I continued to go, I started to experience the mental and emotional benefits of yoga.  I was feeling calmer, and less reactive.  I also felt an amazing sense of community at Inner Fire Yoga.

These benefits are what made me want to teach.  I want everyone to have access to the mindfulness of movement.   I completed my 200-hour yoga training in Foundations and Power Flow with Inner Fire in 2019-2020.

I have also been a physical therapist for 14 years.  I have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and I am a Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist.  My primary specialty is sports medicine.

I incorporate yoga and breathwork into a lot of my treatments.  I love to educate students on the kinesiology of body movement.  I am also a lifelong student and love to learn more about the body and how we can feel and live our best life.

I teach Inner Fire Flow 75 class currently, but also enjoy teaching Power Flow and Slow Flow.
