I was fortunate to find myself at Inner Fire in January of 2015, when my yoga journey began after one day walking into the studio on a whim. I began my thirty day trial shy and unsure of myself, intimidated by all the yogis who seemed to know what they were doing. Shortly after beginning at Inner Fire, I fell in love with the practice and the dedication it requires. It felt like I was filling a void that I did not realize was missing from my life. Something kept me coming back for more, day after day, and I knew that I had found a lifelong practice. Like so many others, I found yoga therapeutic both for my body and mind. My low back pain that I had always had I realized one day was no longer there. I became stronger than I had ever been. I learned how to breathe through tough situations. I became more confident in situations which had used to give me anxiety. What I realize everyday is that yoga is so, so much more than tricky asanas; yoga is treating myself and others with compassion and non-judgement.

My goal as an instructor is to inspire students to explore and challenge their own practice without comparing it to that of another student. What I love most about this practice is that there is always more to learn and grow from; I know that I will be a student for life. I am honored to be able to assist students in finding their own inner strength at a studio which has taught me so much. I hope to see you on the mat!
