If you like beer, cheese and backbends, you might like to practice yoga with me. I have a big horse and a little family. We spend our free time at the barn.

I found my teacher training a couple thousand classes ago, under the L train tracks, at a hot studio in Chicago. It's still there, between the Wellington and Diversey stops, on the Brown Line.

My wish as a teacher is to provide an opportunity for you to recognize your gifts, tenderness and brute strength. When you remember yourself through the practice of yoga, you become a connector in your community.

Sometimes I'm an author at YOGANONYMOUS. I have my own blog at yoga-beast.com. The highlight of my yoga writing career so far has been interviewing Krishna Das, who told me that he too loves Guns N' Roses.

Before yoga, I completed the 750 hour bodywork program at Lakeside School of Massage Therapy in Madison, earned a BA in Theatre Arts at UW-La Crosse and spent just enough time in the U.S. Army.

I believe you can find magic in tacos, dive bars and the kindness of strangers.
