I have been practicing yoga since 2010, when my best friend took me to a Bikram class. For the first time in my life, I was (somewhat consistently) present. I went almost everyday. Since then, I have experimented with various types of yoga. I landed in a vinyasa practice and have been flowing for four years. I became particularly engaged by my power yoga practice. I appreciate the mind, body, breathe connection.
My yoga practice has coincided with and supported my academic pursuits. Finding calm in frustrating poses helps me find calm throughout school-related challenges. Learning to control my breath is a valuable tool that not only guides my practice and teaching, but also guides me through the rest of my day. I recently moved to Madison to get my PhD at UW. I am excited to find my place in Madison's yoga community. My favorite part of teaching yoga is what it reciprocally teaches. Let's flow!
